Q1. Can it be used in my car?

A1. It can be used if the car model is equipped with a wired CarPlay unit at the factory. It can also be used in vehicles with wired and wireless CarPlay connectivity. However, it is not compatible with vehicles that only have wireless CarPlay connectivity.

Q2. Do I need to sync every time I use the adapter?

A2. No, once you set it up, it will automatically pair with your smartphone every time you start your car.

Q3. Do you use WiFi or Bluetooth? I don't have WiFi in my car?

A3. Our adapter has both WiFi and Bluetooth functions. Connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth, send your WiFi credentials to your smartphone, and then disconnect from the Bluetooth network. After that it only works on WiFi.

Q4. Can it be used on iPhone and Android?

A4. Yes, it is available for all iPhones running iOS 10 from iPhone 6 to 14 Pro Max. It is also available for Samsung Galaxy S3 and later models.

Q5. If I have two smartphones, which one will I choose?

A5. You can use either smartphone, but if you have both smartphones in the car, it will connect to the last paired smartphone.

Q6. Does it come with an instruction manual?

A6. Yes, below are the simple setup steps.

  1. Turn on Bluetooth and WiFi on your smartphone.
  2. Make sure your smartphone is not connected to any other WiFi or Bluetooth networks.
  3. Connect the adapter to the CarPlay USB port.
  4. Wait until the interface appears on your screen.
  5. Select the device named "Carra Pro" on the smartphone's Bluetooth settings screen and pair it.

  1. Search for "Ottocast" in Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
  2. Download our exclusive app.
  3. Follow the in-app instructions to update online with one click.

Q8. How long does it take for the Ottocarlife unit to connect?

A8. It usually takes about 7 to 14 seconds, depending on the smartphone and car model.

Q9. Where is the product shipped from?

A9. We will ship directly from our warehouse in Japan or directly from our factory in China.

Q10. How long will it take for the product to arrive?

A10. Usually, your order will be delivered within 3-5 business days. However, this may vary depending on the region, season, and location of the shipper.
